101 Awesome Things #8 – Volunteer

My wife and I just finished volunteering at our local community Winter Carnival for, we think, the 21st year. This community event is run by volunteers and it just celebrated its 50th  anniversary. 101 Awesome Things #5 – Having Time To Hook Up With Old Friends

I’ve never used social media until recently and one of the biggest benefits I discovered is that it gives you a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends. I’m still a rookie at it but sometimes I find a name from the past appearing magically before me and that’s when the fun starts.

The picture is from a lunch I attended recently with some old banking friends of mine. We had lost contact over the years and it was wonderful to get together and relive old stories from the past. If this group ever got together and wrote a book on banking it would be a best seller for sure. Continue reading “101 Awesome Things #5 – Having Time To Hook Up With Old Friends”
